With around 10,000 employees globally and operating out 32 countries world-wide, communication and collaboration are vital to our success!  That’s why we are looking for a highly engaged Network and Telecoms Technical Lead to work closely with our 3rd party service providers to ensure that all our networking requirements are running smoothly and allowing our people to keep delivering amazing service!

 


What you will be doing:

 

  • Management of 3rd party suppliers who provide all Network and Telecommunications systems such as; monitoring, maintenance and incident and problem resolution for any issue across these services. 
  • Assist in the maintenance of the policies and standards needed to support the Network and Telecommunications and working with vendors, security and architecture to agree changes for these. 
  • Supporting the definition and agreeing the support model of all new Network and Telecommunications services which will be supported by the IT Operations function. 
  • Vendor management of any suppliers who provide Network and Telecommunications including ensuring that regular monthly, quarterly and annual service reviews are conducted in accordance with the company’s supplier relationship management framework. 
  • Review and approval of new proposed solutions and designs to ensure they are supportable and are cost effective.
  • Working with project teams to ensure configuration data is captured, documented and managed correctly when introducing new services.
  • Validate the on-going maintenance of the Configuration Management Database and configuration items (CIs) across the Network and Telecommunications estate carried out by our 3rd party vendors.  
  • Ensuring Network and Telecommunications performance and availability service levels are met.
  • Reporting availability and performance of the Network and Telecommunications against service levels to the stakeholders on a regular basis based upon service reporting provided by service providers
  • Work with the suppliers to ensure reporting provided meets RS’ requirements. 
  • Work with our suppliers to ensure they deploy the appropriate tooling to meet our requirements for the support and management of our Network & Telecommunications estate

 


What we are looking for from you:

 

  • Prior experience with Service Provider management
  • Experience working in an ITIL environment (Service, Incident Management and Change)
  • Ability to demonstrate global working experience and cultural awareness
  • BAU/Day to Day support experience - IT, Networks & Telecoms
  • Experience of Troubleshooting remotely
  • Ability to collaborate by bringing virtual teams of suppliers, peers & users together to achieve resolutions
  • Ability to look for Technical Solutions/recommendations to resolve or improve service issues
  • Flexible approach to working hours - work with team to cover incidents, changes etc
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to assess HLD/LLD's with a Service eye

 

You will also have solid technical knowledge and experience with:

  • WAN & Internet Based connectivity
  • LAN (Cisco based LAN's)
  • Security - Firewall Rules, Proxy etc
  • Video Conferencing
  • Telephony - PSTM, SIP, PBX, Call Centre Technology (ideally MS Teams & Genesys)
