Local Supplier management is part of the wider P&SM organisation and executes the category strategy on a local level in strong alignment with the group category team. This includes a key emphasis on in-market business development by developing and leveraging local supplier relationships within the internal framework. Main objectives include achieving targeted profitable growth, customer acquisition, market share growth and ROI. This is achieved through development and execution of supplier business plans to realise the category strategy.

Local Supplier management constitutes an important part of the market intelligence of the group category team providing market trends and insights as well as customer needs/insights/feedback.

It is also part of a virtual regional team to ensure regional alignment and maximization of supplier value extraction in association with procurement.

 

You will be responsible for the following processes

  • Development and execution of supplier business plans in line with category strategy
  • Supplier value extraction
  • Local sourcing within agreed corridor of terms in close association with Procurement
  • Communication across all levels of the suppliers’ organisations
  • Management of supplier expectations in line with our objectives and category strategy

 

Key Deliverables for the role

  • Execution of local supplier business plans following the group category strategy with an end-to-end channel understanding
  • Secure the Supplier’s full line card data to enable automated product launch and improve customer online experience
  • Deliver agreed KPI’s for: Supplier sales revenue; Supplier product Margin (cost ownership and resale influence); Customer acquisition and lead generation by supplier while focusing on the customer journey
  • Volume and tender price optimisation for focused customer accounts
  • Local supplier marketing contributions that tie into the overall RS proposition
  • Analyse digital supplier performance using Adobe Data with a focus on digital channels

 

 

Your Profile

  • Successful track record in supplier/account management or related discipline (ideally minimum 3 years of experience)
  • Business planning and execution capability
  • Supplier relationship management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of working with an online digital toolset
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • A collaborative team player across a business with fast moving, customer driven markets
  • Ability to work cross functional as well as cross cultural as part of a wider global team
  • Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
  • Positive can-do attitude, takes ownership and very result-oriented
  • Fluency in German and English is required
