The Marketing Project Manager handles multi-phase and cross-functional projects that focus on RS marketing strategies and initiatives while collaborating with the brand, creative and performance marketing teams along with other internal team and external vendors, and we want to add your excellent project management, analytical and decision-making skills to our team.
About the Role
Role Purpose
The Marketing Project Manager's primary role is to plan, organize, and oversee the execution of marketing projects from start to finish, ensuring they stay on track with deadlines, budget, and scope, while collaborating with various teams to achieve marketing goals and objectives.
Because of the type of projects they oversee, the Marketing Project Manager needs to have a foundational understanding of marketing, including strategies, plans, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with marketing and commercial teams on understanding campaigns and goals to develop tasks and allocate resources to achieve project objectives
- Manage projects for cross-functional teams, develop and maintain project plans within project management software, assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, and fostering collaboration among team members
- Set realistic deadlines, manage resource capacity, monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks to ensure timely delivery while managing ongoing project prioritization to meet total business objective.
- Track project expenses, ensuring projects stay within budget constraints, and making necessary adjustments as needed
- Manage input and approval process with external vendors and suppliers involved in marketing projects
- Identify and address issues that arise during project execution, finding solutions to overcome obstacles
- Provide regular updates to marketing leadership, internal stakeholders, and other relevant parties on project status, challenges, and key milestones
- Collect data on budget, income and campaign performance and add to decks and tracking spreadsheets
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing, or equivalent project management experience
- 5+ years’ experience in project management with a strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies
- Experience with project management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of marketing channels, strategies, branding and customer segmentation
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Project management certification
- Project management tools experience with Monday.com, Smartsheet, Trello, Workfront, etc.
- Agency project management a plus
Essential Qualifications (Must be evidenced at offer stage)
- Provide prior experience in marketing project management roles, ideally within a relevant industry
