Summer Internship
Job Description
Specific responsibilities will be dependent on placement. Possible internship opportunities include:
- Continuous Improvement:
- Support our team of managers and analyst implement improvements and assist with delivering solutions from end to end across different functions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain our CI operating systems
- Gain an understanding of the warehouse, process, and equipment by working with functional areas on such projects as: efficiency issues, waste reduction, energy - related process improvements, reliability principles and practices, working with contractors, and plant process and equipment improvements.
- People Team:
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent and Development, Total Rewards, and/or Talent Acquisition to produce deliverables for the business.
- Build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict/coaching, and manage interpersonal dynamics.
- Finance Team:
- Develop, plan and schedule proposals, as well as compile cost, schedule and technical elements from the functional departments.
- Draft contracts and agreements that are essential to business needs.
- Supply Chain:
- Interface cross-functionally with leadership and team members to develop process improvements.
- Leverage their academic training to mine historical data and foreshadow
- Participate in Data collection Root/Cause analysis processes
- Global Shared Business Services:
- New Account Set Up including Credit Review and Account validation to prevent duplicate account set up in SAP
- Cash Applications (Review, Validate and Code all cash receipts to the correct Customer Account; timely and accurately.)
- Billing (Review, Validate and Distribute Customer Invoices including any supporting details if necessary.)
- Collections (Review assigned Portfolio of Accounts and assist in follow up and follow through on past due balances while maintaining best in class services.
- Marketing:
- Develop infographics, diagrams, and other visual aids to support presentations and marketing campaigns
- Perform analysis of marketing campaigns and tactics / channels and make suggestions for improvement.
- Work with internal teams (including global counterparts) and external stakeholders to create marketing programs that drive consistency of brand and focus on driving the business through an integrated commercial lens.
- IT Operations:
- Receive and log all customer interactions for Incidents, Service Requests, and Inquiries submitted by phone or through the IT Service Management tool.
- Provide tier one support for low to medium complexity issues.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
- IT Security:
- Assess current security posture across all Allied systems platforms against latest best practices for threat prevention
