Fixed-Term Contract – 12 Months
We at RS are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer specialized in Java and ETL technology to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. In this role, you’ll become a critical member of the Digital Procurement team, solving business-critical problems in the B2B solutions space.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions for our ETL and iPaaS platform.
- Document processing using AI/ML technologies.
- Build ETL jobs using ETL tools such as Talend or AWS Glue.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain robust components/libraries in Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Conduct in-depth code reviews, upholding security, performance, and scalability standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring the seamless operation of the platform.
- Champion automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

What We’re Looking For
- Our ideal candidate brings experience in the following:
- Development Java, shell script, python.
- Preferred if experienced in Talend or any ETL tool.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, or similar), including serverless technologies.
- Experience on working with multiple data bases based on RDBMS and NoSql technology.
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Circle CI, Jenkins).
- Understanding of quality assurance processes, testing, and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code solutions like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience in Big Data technologies (Desirable)
