We at RS are seeking a skilled and passionate Software Engineer specialized in Java and ETL technology to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. In this role, you’ll become a critical member of the Digital Procurement team, solving business-critical problems in the B2B solutions space.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions for our ETL and iPaaS platform.
  • Document processing using AI/ML technologies.
  • Build ETL jobs using ETL tools such as Talend or AWS Glue.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain robust components/libraries in Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Conduct in-depth code reviews, upholding security, performance, and scalability standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring the seamless operation of the platform.
  • Champion automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

What We’re Looking For

  • Our ideal candidate brings experience in the following:
  • Development Java, shell script, python.
  • Preferred if experienced in Talend or any ETL tool.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, or similar), including serverless technologies.
  • Experience on working with multiple data bases based on  RDBMS and NoSql technology.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Circle CI, Jenkins).
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes, testing, and monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code solutions like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience in Big Data technologies (Desirable)
