Indirect Buyer (EMEA) with German language
The role is dedicated for EMEA area and may be performed fully remotely in Poland with travel to meet with stakeholders as required. This is expected to be at a frequency of 1-2 times per month.
The purpose of the Indirect Procurement function is to work with the business to deliver scalable Commercial and Procurement solutions. Our mission is to procure responsibly, reduce cost to serve and deliver excellent third-party solutions across the business.
The role will work within the Indirect Procurement team to:
- Improve Supply Chain performance, relationships, accountability, risk management and value
- Optimise the Purchase Process
- Support Cash Control
This role will support senior stakeholders across EMEA, acting as a single point of contact to purchase goods and services in line with Global processes, category plans and principles.
Job Description
- Review and apply as appropriate: category management tools & techniques, competitive sourcing and supplier management support.
- Able to successfully manage the spend portfolio to identify locally unique business requirements and collaborating with the Global Procurement Management team to embed global purchasing agreements where appropriate.
- Work with senior stakeholders to identify and optimise existing contracts in line with Group procurement policy, compliance and control.
- Manage key stakeholders across markets and functions to ensure that projects are implemented within agreed timescales
- Pro-active management of strategic supplier relationships to maximise value for money
- Develop a local communications strategy to keep stakeholders informed of progress and benefits of the procurement pipeline.
- Work effectively with all levels of management and other colleagues and demonstrate initiative, effective commercial judgement and ability to anticipate needs of the organisation.
- Create clear end to end plans for category opportunities from data gathering through to implementing agreements. You will be effective at embedding change to ensure Procurement benefits are fully realised during contract lifecycle management.
- Working with markets to embed new Procurement practices and acting as an adviser for commercial and procurement queries.
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- At least 3 years experience as a lead Buyer able to demonstrate leadership of end-to-end Procurement Lifecycle activities.
- Professional level of English and German is mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and 3rd party suppliers to meet / exceed business objectives.
- Experience of designing and implementing procurement solutions is essential.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of Source to Contract, Contract Authoring and Negotiation and Contract Management.
- Experienced at leading Procurement projects from data gathering and opportunity identification, through to ensuring the benefits are realised.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of e-tendering portals
