Director of Sales

JOB SUMMARY:   
Assist and support the achievement of Company’s Business Plan for revenue and sales goals while achieving and preserving margin integrity. Work with and contribute to the sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with the Company vision and values.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
•    Identify, qualify and develop new and existing customer opportunities for the accomplishment of company sales objectives.
•    Lead the sales effort in positioning outsourced business processes to acquire new customers and expand across existing customers.
•    Demonstrate visible leadership and facilitation of the sales process to create improved revenue and profit for the company.
•    Create and deliver effective presentations, proposals and RFP responses that address the prospects business issues and provide solutions to their problems.
•    Drive new sales to achieve company sales goals including managed spend, revenue and profit
•    Complete pricing and proposal models.
•    Work with and support operations and implementation teams throughout the implementation process to transition new customers to full operation.
•    Support and execute the company’s marketing plan where required.
•    Provide change management leadership for internal initiatives and external interactions.
•    Assist sales team members on high-level calls to aid in the development of the team.
•    Evaluate new service offerings for viability with Company’s value proposition.
•    Participate on cross-functional teams as a representative from the sales team.
•    Actively participate in industry trade organizations and associations to develop a strong network and presence.
•    Work collaboratively across the sales team to share best practices that will improve the overall effectiveness of the department.
•    Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
•    Advise operations personnel of any known or observed safety issues.
•    Comply with all sales activities related to policies and procedures.
•    Track and maintain all business development activities within company CRM/sales force automation programs.

 

EDUCATION:    
•    Bachelor’s degree.  MBA Preferred.             

 

EXPERIENCE    
•    At least 8 years of successful complex selling experience in a B2B environment
•    Previous experience leading project teams in a business environment.
•    Experience in financial modeling
•    A proven and consistent track record of exceeding goals consisting of annual sales and profitability objectives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  
•    Frequent walking and standing (over 50%).
•    Frequently carrying 25 pounds and under (50%) and occasionally carrying 25-40 pounds (10-25%).
•    Frequent use of keyboard and mouse and repetitive or fine hand movements (over 50%).
•    Often climbing stairs (25-50%).


TRAVEL: 
•    Ability to travel 50% nationally and internationally

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•    Proven track record of developing customer relationships and internal relationships across all levels of an organization to meet organizational and sales objectives.
•    Experienced in communicating up, down and across within an organization.
•    Demonstrated networking skills used to develop key relationships within prospective and existing customers.
•    Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the company and the customer organization.
•    Must be a "self-starter" with the ability to work under pressure and meet inflexible deadlines.
•    Capable of representing themselves as a principal of the company.
•    Must be willing and able to learn new concepts and processes to align with business requirements and goals.
•    Experience with consultative selling and large account management.
•    Proven track record of successful sales leadership with experience closing complex deals in excess of $10M annually.
•    Proven experience negotiating significant profitable opportunities with new and existing customers.
•    Prior experience in opportunity evaluations; as well as, gathering and analyzing corporate and market information.
•    Possess the business acumen and experience positioning a service offering as a strategic advantage for new and existing customers.
•    Extensive knowledge of business process outsourcing for commercial and industrial clients.
•    Ability to operate and understand commercial models to establish pricing and fee structures to develop proposal models.
•    Must be able to articulate business drivers, financial statements and total cost of ownership concepts with decision makers and executives.
•    Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
