Compensation and Benefits Manager

  1. Job Purpose

This role is responsible for the overall management and execution of the compensation and benefits offering for RS Integrated Supply (USA, Mexico, Canada and Europe). Working in partnership with the Group and regional compensation & benefits leads to apply best-in-class approaches aligned with the Destination 2025 strategy and our ongoing ambitions for attracting and retaining top talent.


  1. Key Accountabilities


  • Conduct and support an end-to-end review of our employee offering across benefits and investments, including PTO with a target of raising the overall value of the plans, whilst driving efficiencies in spend in 2022 and beyond
  • Ongoing overall management of the plans to ensure continued cost effectiveness and optimization for the Company and our employees
  • Manages the Company’s Workers Compensation program
  • Maintains the 401(k) program, working closely with Finance and Payroll.  Participates in the quarterly Investment Committee Meetings. 
  • Oversees all leaves of absences.
  • Conduct a job grading review to align our current global grading structure to the rest of the world.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in the design and implementation of compensation plans across the business
  • Lead the process of merit cycle and bonus working with Group Reward as needed
  • Run ongoing market analysis and develop data-driven recommendations for strategy, design and cost structure changes to ensure that we maintain a competitive advantage and meet the needs of our team members and our company
  • Monitor compensation legislation, industry trends and technologies to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Play an active role in regional and group level strategic projects related to compensation and benefits
  • Manages the Payroll team and ensures compliance and best practice
  • Develop and implement communication/education programs related to total rewards programs to enhance member knowledge, appreciation, and effective use of benefits
  • Work collaboratively on compensation and benefits decisions with managers and the People team in support of job offers, promotions, terminations, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: 


  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or related subject. MBA preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and knowledge of current insurance industry practices for group medical, dental, life, long-term disability, retirement and executive compensation programs.  Previous experience in a multi-state or global environment preferred
  • Experience of compensation and benefits design and execution gained in integrated MRO supply, sales led, commercial environments
  • Experience in running Payroll
  • Experience of working within a global, matrix organisation and as a member of a high performing virtual team
  • Demonstrated experience advancing a long-term compensation and benefits agenda, while executing on short-term initiatives.
  • Proven record of successfully managing a compensation and benefits offering in a complexmulti-location business model
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
