We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Security Architect, you will lead security architecture and security assessment activities, particularly in relation to new projects and other initiatives, taking ownership for defining security requirements and associated capabilities.


About the role

  • Provide thought leadership across the organisation regarding the implementation of security requirements and standards
  • Support the CISO in facilitating organisation-wide implementation of standards, tools and systems needed to protect information assets.
  • Define security architectural roadmaps, including both technical and non-technical capabilities
  • Perform security assessments for projects and other initiatives, ensuring that security requirements and capabilities are defined upfront and associated risks are promptly identified
  • Lead communities of interest across the organisation in security best practice, providing technical consultancy as required on requirements and compensating controls as well as associated verification services and education
  • Identify current security infrastructure and defining what kind of security must be designed and implemented in order to meet organisation requirements


What we’re looking for

  • Relevant industry experience defining security requirements, designs and standards
  • Strong risk management knowledge and experience
  • Experience providing security consultancy throughout whole project lifecycles
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with Business Management, with the ability to translate technical language into business language and vice versa, and explain complex issues in simple terms
  • Experience in and knowledge of operating systems, mobile device platforms, web technologies, hardware and software platforms, and protocols as they relate to information technology (IT)
  • Strong awareness of software development practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of OWASP vulnerabilities, tools and methodologies
  • Extensive knowledge of “good” security practice
  • Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Knowledge of applicable internal and/or external regulatory policies, standards, procedures and controls
