Talent Acquisition (TA) is a critical function within the RS Group’s people organisation. The TA function is responsible for attracting, recruiting and hiring top talent spanning permanent, FTC and contingent workers.

 

The Contingent Workforce Manager plays a lead role in ensuring RS Group attracts and hires first-rate contingent workers by providing an efficient, high quality, end-to-end recruitment service and candidate experience for the business and candidates in the UK.

 

In addition the role will be responsible for reviewing IR35/HMRC processes, ensuring compliance and minimising risk to RS Group.

 

This role will report directly to the aligned business area Head of Talent Acquisition.

 

This role is offered on a permanent basis and will be a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely along with being office based in either our Corby or London locations.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Review the end-to-end contingent worker hiring process from an IR35 compliance perspective
  • Make recommendations to amend the contingent worker hiring process ensuring that key stakeholders are engaged, and any business risk associated with IR35 is minimised
  • Finalise and launch a contingent worker policy to the business
  • Conduct a full audit of RS Group's current UK based contingent workforce
  • Manage and maintain details of the entire contingent workforce in line with GDPR
  • Manage and implement any proposed changes to the contingent worker hiring process
  • Manage the end-to-end contingent worker hiring process and delivery of requirements to the business
  • Support and manage the candidate experience throughout the hiring lifecycle, ensuring SLAs are always upheld and that candidates and other key stakeholders are informed of developments with real time communication/updates throughout the recruitment process
  • Embed and use the ATS ensuring process compliance to minimise risk around personal and sensitive data and support the use of the ATS by hiring managers

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to IR35 and previous experience in actively reducing legal risks associated with IR35 and ensuring compliance
  • Experienced in working within the private sector and mitigating risk from IR35 tax legislation
  • Contingent worker hiring experience from a similar sized business within the private sector and management of adherence to IR35 tax legislation
  • Ability to review processes, make recommendations and implement change and have experience of this within the context of IR35 and contingent workforce
  • Previous experience of working with an Applicant Tracking System
  • Ability to gather and maintain data to the highest standards and in line with GDPR.
  • First-class communication skills with the gravitas to challenge, partner and influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Business fluent in English language
