Infrastructure Vendor & Contracts Manager

We are looking for the Infrastructure Vendor and Contract Manager who is responsible for the delivery of infrastructure services via 3rd party vendors.  This role is focussed on enabling the delivery of Infrastructure services to the RS business functions in UK, EMEA & APAC.

 

What are we looking for

 

  • Management of the internal RS IT Service Analyst team in UK, EMEA & APAC and a IT Analyst covering the Non-Standard process, ensuring the formal HR line management processes are followed and development and training plans for the team members are regularly reviewed and maintained. This includes ensuring talent and succession management plans are defined for the teams.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management by direct reports of the centralised hardware & software request process to include all EUC hardware (e.g: Laptop, desktop, Mobile Phones, presentation equipment etc.)
  • Overseeing the management by direct reports of a centralised hardware lifecycle and procurement process
  • Support CMDB Management and development ensuring fit for purpose
  • Audit and improvement of Configuration Management Change control
  • Day to day vendor management of mobile telephony services, landline telephony services, printing services and small & middle-sized vendors in the UK, EMEA & APAC for the RS Group
  • Account Structure and billing processes for Mobile telephony, landline telephony and printer services.
  • Contract renewals for the procurement of software, mobile phones, printers, client hardware and other EUC requirements
  • Raising of Investment Proposals where necessary and tracking of spend against budgets
  • Tracking of PO’s and invoicing against IP’s and budgets
  • The reporting by team on stock, requests and usage
  • EUC Reporting by team e.g.: Monthly Report, Mobile Phone Reporting and Contract & Certificate Renewals
  • Managing and/or supporting rollouts of new services to business partners and 3rd party partners. Communicating changes impacting the organisation internally and externally

 

Essential

 

  • Contract management and negotiation experience
  • Excellent vendor management capabilities including extensive experience of deploying and managing suppliers to a formal supplier relationship management model. This includes the ability to define and manage suppliers to contractual obligations and SLAs
  • Excellent financial management & control
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • Extensive experience of defining mobile telephony, landline telephony and printer services support models.
  • Ability to maintain clear and focused thinking under stressful/high pressure situations.
  • Experience of managing in-house and outsourced support teams.
  • Strong experience of software and license management and processes associated
  • Ability to translate technical information into business terminology to ensure the business are clear on the technical impact of any application issues to their operations.
  • Technical experience of supporting key mobile telephony, landline telephony and printer services such as but not limited to mobile device operating systems, wi-fi access, mobile device management systems, remote network access i.e. VPN access and systems management tools which control the security for these devices, call recording services, telephony reporting and voice conferencing services.
  • Stakeholder management across all levels within our organisation including to board level.
  • Clear Understanding on ITIL principles – ITIL Foundation
  • Solid understanding of Incident, Problem, Change and Release management processes.

  • Extensive experience of managing the lifecycle of mobile telephony, landline telephony and printer services
  • Ability to keep updated on technology trends and solutions being developed in the mobile telephony, landline telephony and printer services area.
