Head of Product Management & Delivery (Inventory Solutions)

The Role:

 

RS Group are already a global leader in the supply of products and service solutions to Industry, and this role is going to be a key post in helping us achieve our 2025 £1 Billion strategy for Value Added  Solutions! You will be responsible for our market leading solutions within Inventory Management, and accountable for leading the development and execution of the EMEA service strategy and product roadmap.

 

You’ll also be responsible for building and developing a delivery team across the EMEA region to support our markets and ultimately customers to implement Inventory Management solutions such as bin stock and industrial vending.

 

The Head of Product Management & Delivery (Inventory Solutions) will be a key member of the EMEA solutions leadership team and be accountable for developing and executing the Journey to Greatness execution plan and initiatives to drive growth in our inventory solutions – engaging with Solutions Directors in each country to develop and execute these services in all EMEA markets and attaining the accompanying growth plans.

 

Success will come from:

 

  • Building and executing a strategic product roadmap for inventory solutions across all EMEA markets – covering Vendor Managed Inventory and Customer Managed Inventory

 

  • Hitting the targets for inventory solutions as set out in the Journey to Greatness strategic execution plan.

 

  • Working closely with local market Solutions leaders and Directors to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives including milestones and EBIT growth targets.

 

  • Supporting and developing the execution delivery capability in each market so they have the right knowledge, systems, processes and training to scale inventory solutions building a consistent customer experience and business model.

 

  • Building an implementation and delivery function for all current and planned inventory solutions and our existing Purchasing Manager solution that allows the region to scale growth and increase profitability.

 

  • Leading, as business owner, a range of CI initiatives to improve existing processes around inventory solutions to support continued growth and improved customer experience

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • A strong and proven senior leader with a track record of delivering improvement and growth in both new and in-life service solutions by developing and executing product roadmaps and strategic execution plans across multiple geographies.
  • An experienced leader in driving business growth related change.  Experienced in supporting organisations roll out scalable service business models from both a go-to-market and ongoing operational delivery perspective.
  • Experience of establishing commercial, operational & support process in relation to service and digital business models.
  • Experienced in developing and managing the product roadmap for service propositions across multiple countries.
  • Experience of improving customer experience and customer journeys by managing and acting as the business owner for large projects and CI initiatives
  • Is an effective coach, collaborator and communicator - capable of influencing other senior stakeholders and leaders across direct and virtual teams.
  • Motivated, flexible and organised with the ability to prioritise and deliver strategic growth initiatives and demonstrate bottom-line impact.

 

It would be a bonus if you also had:

 

  • Internationally recognised Product Management, Project management & Lean / Six Sigma qualifications
  • Experience of leading large teams (direct and virtual) working in a B2B services environment such as capital equipment after market, industrial distribution, logistics or business services
  • Experience of building and managing a specialist team dealing with set-up, implementation and support of inventory solutions such as bin stock, industrial vending and site-based services such as stores outsourcing or vendor consolidation services.
