Provide floor leadership through directing the work of team members for Shipping area.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the Company Vision statement is used as the primary guide for decision making.  Lead and support employee behavior that reflects the term "customer" refers to dealers, suppliers, and all company employees.
  • As directed by management, organize team members to complete tasks according to procedures within time guidelines. Plan work flow, direct employee efforts, and control activities to ensure that assigned tasks are accomplished timely and accurately.
  • Train team members in specific functions and ensure associates clearly understand quality and performance levels for their departments.
  • Model, coach, and reinforce professionalism when addressing team members.
  • Communicate the company’s safety policies and programs in a uniform and consistent manner throughout our organization so that employee injuries and illnesses can be prevented and compliance with federal, state and local regulations can be achieved.
  • Dependability – report to work every day, on time, as scheduled.
  • Ensure that all procedures are followed according to company policy. Be proactive in communicating with Management regarding any real or perceived discrepancies noted in the performance of specific tasks.
  • Ensure equipment is safely used, is operating efficiently, is secure and maintained when performing tasks. Further, ensure that only authorized and trained employees will operate the equipment.
  • Understand and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS AND/OR SAP) for optimum work flow and inventory management.
  • Makes recommendations for new or revised processes; as well as, have a role in the implementation.
  • Working in concert with Management and achieve primary objectives of:
    • Efficiency, integrity and accuracy, in all processes
    • Picking, Packing and Shipping compliance
    • Inventory integrity and control
    • Receiving and Put Away compliance
    • Customer Service requests


Essential Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  • Highly customer focused.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentially.
  • Well organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced PC skills preferred

 Education and/or Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience as a lead/supervisor in a warehouse environment.
