Director of Procurement Solutions - Americas

Job Description

  • As part of the Value Add Solutions Senior Leadership Team for the Americas, play an integral and pivotal role in developing and leading the Americas Products and Solutions roadmap as a strategic priority and growth driver
  • Build and execute a procurement solutions strategic roadmap that represents a significant business contribution channel in the Americas, delivered through an industry leading, digitally led and differentiating solutions offer, that enables demonstrable value for our customers and suppliers and maximum returns for our business
  • Work as part of wider Group VAS Leadership Team, to develop a global strategy with regards to tools, capabilities, processes, informed and influenced by regional shared learnings and best practices
  • Develop and lead strategic change initiatives & solutions (as Business Owner), that enables the region’s commercial agenda
  • Build a high-performance function and team, full of talent and unified in its purpose, core values and a diverse & inclusive culture, with a talent pipeline that supports and nurtures the future digital leaders of our organization
  • Accountable for ensuring Customer facing channels and teams are aligned, informed and enabled to represent and drive accelerated growth through a digitally led procurement solutions portfolio

 

Location: Flexible

Hybrid with ability to work out of DFW periodically

About the role

This role is of strategic significance, being accountable for leading the development, execution, and deliver of the wider, digitally led Americas Procurement Solutions plan and roadmap. This role will also be accountable for leading an Americas Procurement delivery function(s), focussed on growing the offer and driving wider and aggressive adoption of both digital procurement and future inventory solutions across the region.

As part of their delivery responsibility, the Procurement Solutions Director will also lead a portfolio of strategic change initiatives and investments (as business owner) that will enable best practice capabilities and external partnerships alliances, to ensure the business is able to scale effectively, efficiently and profitably as we drive change and accelerate.

  • Ability to develop, influence, lead and deliver strategic business plans & end-to-end change programs that significantly move the dial
  • Ability to fully contribute to the commercial agenda with regional P&L contribution & ownership
  • Ability to think and articulate strategically and conceptually, and drive execution and step-change through others
  • Senior leadership level experience in managing business critical activities and influencing stakeholders at all levels and cross-regional in a matrix structure
  • Exceptional people leadership skills
  • Senior leadership experience within a digitally led procurement offer
  • Clear customer orientation & commercial acumen - strong communication and sales skills
  • Understanding of product dynamics within industrial industry would be advantageous
  • Long range planning skills to ensure capability and capacity to meet business strategy
  • Ability to externalise our internal competence and expertise
