Head of Assembly & Customization Services - Americas

Job Description

  • As part of the Value Add Solutions Senior Leadership Team for the Americas, play an integral and pivotal role in developing and leading the Americas Products and Solutions roadmap as a strategic priority and growth driver
  • Develop and lead a portfolio of strategic change initiatives and investments (as business owner) that will enable best practice capabilities and external partnerships alliances, to ensure the business is able to scale effectively, efficiently and profitably as we change and accelerate.
  • Build and execute an assembly & customization services roadmap that supports a $multi-million business channel in the Americas, delivered through an industry leading, digitally led offer, enabling demonstrable value for our customers and suppliers and maximum returns for our business
  • Develop and lead enabling initiatives to support the VAS offer and regional commercial agenda
  • Accountable for ensuring Customer facing channels and teams are aligned, informed and enabled to represent and drive profitable growth through our partner services

About the role

The Assembly and Customization Services Leader is a key critical leadership role, with a clear objective of standing up the offer and end-to-end process capabilities and start the acceleration of contribution before the end of FY23. Accountable then for leading the development, execution and delivery of a scalable in-house assembly and customization service capability operating model and offer that drives incremental value and stickiness with our customers and suppliers, and profitable high margin growth across the Americas.  The role will also assume operational responsibility for building out and leading an Assembly & Customization function(s), across our Operations in the Americas, focussed on deliver high quality services and efficient process capabilities at pace, that demonstrate clear value propositions, that meets the core & future needs of our customers and suppliers and enables a clear and aggressive pipeline for adoption. 

The role holder will work closely with market peers (Functional Heads & VAS Leadership Team) and Senior Leaders across the group, to ensure we are positioned to build and exploit our wider regional capabilities and introduce scalable solutions across the region that deliver an exceptional and industry leading customer experience.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Strong commercial understanding of customer needs, the competitor environment and overall commercial landscape
  • Ability to develop, influence, lead and deliver business plans & an operating capability that will move the dial in the value we provide our customers and suppliers going forward
  • Ability to fully contribute to the commercial agenda with the potential for functional P&L accountability and ownership
  • Ability to think and articulate strategically and conceptually, and drive execution and step-change through others
  • Leadership level experience in managing an operational / manufacturing business function
  • Exceptional people leadership skills with a natural ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and in a cross-regional matrix structure
  • Strong business and commercial acumen 
  • Understanding of product dynamics within industrial industry would be advantageous
  • Long range planning skills to ensure capability and capacity to meet business strategy
  • Ability to externalise our internal competence and expertise
