Director of Accounts Receivables

Job Description

  • Act as a business partner anticipating business needs and identifying and proposing differentiating business solutions to fulfil those needs.
  • Promote and communicate SBS goals and value proposition
  • Provide improved capabilities that contribute to better business operations and outcomes that cover a range of the shared service attributes
  • Effectively manages stakeholder relationships and expectations by communicating key milestones, challenges, and all other updates to drive adoption
  • Oversee obligations related to service level agreements (SLAs) and the associated performance targets and metrics. This includes financial (budget) and organizational objectives
  • Create and present business reviews for senior executives, key internal customers, and other stakeholders
  • Mentor, lead, and inspire management team. Ensures they have the resources needed to optimally drive performance.
  • Assess, manage, and resolve problematic developments and situations.
  • Embrace, share and integrate the company’s strategy
  • Facilitate improvements of processes and identification of enabling technologies and governance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to work with customers to identify needs, evaluate and present opportunities and assist with navigating the decision process

About the role

As a part of Shared Business Services, the Director of Accounts Receivables is responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of the organization's account management, billing and collections process, as operations and programs. This role develops and implements consistent policies, procedures, and operational reporting/metrics that line up with global shared business services, while ensuring the Americas market needs are appropriately protected. They oversee and report on the company results for senior management and extended stakeholders. Ensures company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated. All with considering the best customer experience as a leader to optimize results through a growth-minded focus to identify continually better solutions.


What we’re looking for


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field and 5+ years of directly related experience
  • Experience of working cross-functionally and collaborating effectively with colleagues to accomplish objectives 
  • Self-starter, strategic thinker & action driven with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Can operate at a granular level while maintaining the bigger picture
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate across multiple audiences at all levels
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills and an ability to perform well under pressure
  • Excellent working knowledge of:
  • Order to Cash continuum
  • Collections Strategies
  • Relevant laws and policies
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence in a cross functional, highly matrixed environment


  • 2 years of distribution or supply chain experience
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP
