Digital Testing Manager

Job Description

  • Own A/B and multivariate test design for the Marketing organization
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders to understand test goals and determine the business impact, as well as leverage analytics data to proactively recommend testing opportunities to improve user experience, engagement, and conversion
  • Translate discussion points into clear test plans, develop hypotheses, assess necessary sample size, and define the success metrics
  • Work closely with marketing to build out A/B test features in accordance with requirements and set the standard winning recipe after the conclusion of the test.
  • Develop insightful and relevant, feature-specific reporting dashboards. Analyze data into actionable insights, and clearly present easy-to-digest analyses to stakeholders.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analyses as needed

About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Insights Manager, the Digital Testing Manager should possess a passion for driving continuous optimization on our digital marketing to improve key metrics and KPIs. This person should be comfortable working proactively and independently to define and direct the test and learn plan for the Marketing organization. They will be responsible for building out A/B testing plans, gathering requirements, building alignment with the marketing and analytics teams, running tests, and interpreting and presenting results. Therefore, this person must possess a blend of analytical, technical, strategic, and relationship skills for success in the role.


What we’re looking for


•             Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as marketing, statistics, business, etc.

•             4 years’ experience in marketing or data analytics, including a web analytics tool like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics

•             2-3 years’ experience doing quantitative analysis on digital experiences and communication channels

•             Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to convey detailed information in an understandable, sharable manner

•             Experience with Google Tag Manager and Event Based Tracking

•             Must be able to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with marketing

•             Understanding of website and mobile application data collection (data layer, pixels, URL tracking, etc)

•             Knowledge of marketing testing methodologies include A/B and multivariate testing

•             Knowledge of statistics, measuring statistical significance, and statistical testing methodologies and experimental design

•             MS Excel expertise – lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas

•             Proficiency in presentation tools such as PowerPoint


•             Familiarity with digital media (Display, Programmatic Ads, Social, Paid Social, Search, Video, etc.), and Email

•             Familiarity with a broad set of topics and subject areas within marketing analytics (e.g. campaign attribution/effectiveness, web tracking, customer lifecycle marketing)

•             Understanding of key media performance metrics including ROAS, ROI, CAC, Contribution Margin, etc.

•             Proficiency with data visualization, deck design, storytelling and presenting complex information

•             Experience using BI reporting and dashboard platforms such as Power BI, DOMO, Tableau or similar tool

•             Able to write and run complex SQL queries to pull data required across multiple tables
