Contracts Negotiation Manager

Job Description

  • Negotiate with suppliers/vendors to secure the best overall price considering (price, availability, payment terms, shipping, return privileges, timely delivery, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Product Management and supplier/vendors to negotiate Terms & Conditions for on-boarding. Assist legal team in executing Master Agreements when required
  • Identify and execute cost savings (TCO initiatives)
  • Develop, engage and maintain alternate sources for constrained and allocated products
  • Execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall sourcing strategy
  • Maintain strong inter-departmental and cross-functional relationships to help facilitate achievement of assigned goals
  • Communicate professionally and build relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and other external sources
  • Cost management through sourcing cost reductions, rebates, extended payment terms, distribution warehousing, ship on demand order placement and distributor/mfr. program utilization
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques

About the role

This position manages the negotiation of commercial terms for supplier / vendor contracts.  The Contracts Negotiation Manager has the direct responsibility for negotiating with suppliers/vendors to secure the best overall commercial terms that include, but are not limited to, cost/price, discounts, payment terms, shipping, return privileges, and timely delivery.

  • 3+ years in a contract management or supply chain related role.

  • Outstanding negotiation abilities

  • Great communication, interpersonal and networking skills
  • General good knowledge and understanding of procurement and sourcing processes
  • Skills to be both a strong team player and to deliver own results
  • Systematic way of working with ability to prioritize work even under pressure
  • Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems easily are needed
  • Collaboration and negation skills to make team successful
  • Fluency & ability to work in English language
  • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
  • Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics Operations, Supply Chain or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an analytical supply chain position
