The Role
The Senior Product Owner is a critical role in delivering our challenging digital growth and revenue targets.
The purpose of this role is to migrate the current eProc Punchout to a Cloud Based application. You will be part of the team working on this application. This includes identifying opportunities, creating business cases, working with stakeholders across several markets, as well as UX and Agile development teams to lead its strategy & delivery.
Make an impact as a Senior Product Owner
- Accountable for prioritisation and iterative agile releases that deliver new product development & features – focusing on delivering highest value and risk mitigation where necessary. To do this the successful candidate will engage closely with key stakeholders (such as projects and programmes), use insights such as industry best practice, strategic direction, analytics and customer feedback.
- Responsible for researching, benchmarking and creation of both annual and quarterly product roadmaps, producing clear hypothesis and benefits cases for initiatives and socialising these across the global business up to VP/C-level.
- Manage relationships and drive collaboration with UX Research and Design, Front-end development, SEO, Analytics, Engineering, projects and programmes, and leadership team using a x-functional approach to stakeholder management.
- Managing stakeholder communications including product plan, prioritisation decision, rationale for changes, features, benefits and the impact of each change on customer experience and product performance.
- Manage stakeholder demand for changes, ensuring well-crafted hypothesis / rational with clear measurements of success to prioritise delivery and ROI
- Play a key role in driving & continually contributing in a PO Community of Practice for the wider Digital team
What you’ll need to succeed
Essential:
- Solid understanding of e-Purchasing, ERPs or e-Invoicing market and how Corporate organisations procurement processes work E2E and how systems interact and interlink with each other - comfortable dealing with technical architects and legacy systems, facilitating sessions with clear logical outcomes.
- Significant experience in developing product strategy and roadmap using data and research to drive change
- Experience of managing multiple projects/programmes of work simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills – focus on solutions rather than problems – providing options, implications, and recommendations
- Passion for developing outstanding and unique customer experiences with the ability to challenge the status quo and understand current technology limitations
- Delivery focused who is proactive at getting things done through effective collaboration and ability to identify and lead the Agile team to manage issues, risk and expectation, with minimal supervision
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – being able to ‘sell’ the story as well as ‘flag wave’ on successful outcomes
- Experience in a dynamic Agile environment
- Ability to use data as a differentiator, making conversations objective rather than subjective
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent in related subject.
- Enterprise level product management/ownership in larger cross functional matrix businesses
- Certified Product Owner/Agile qualified
- Working knowledge of JIRA
- Experience of working in a global business
