Sometimes things go wrong, we know it and you know it. The important thing is to have experts on hand to repair breakdowns and hopefully prevent future issues. That’s where our techs come in!

This role will be ideal if you are currently working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment but are either looking for new kit to work on or just want that Monday-to-Friday feeling.

If you love fixing things and making a huge difference in the place you work, then this is the place for you.

What will you be doing?

Working in the warehouse you will be responsible for all planned maintenance and reactive repairs on our electrical equipment. The most important thing that your role revolves around its health and safety, at RS we pride ourselves on it, so ensuring you do what needs to be done in the safest way is essential. Finally, it will be down to you to pass on your knowledge through mentoring, coaching, and training; sometimes you will be on holiday, so you need to have someone ready to back you up.

About you

We are looking for a fully qualified electrically biased technician with training and experience in fault-finding and repair; basic electronics, industrial electrical applications, pneumatics and hydraulics, motor/gearboxes, drives, conveyors, tools, and equipment. You will also need:

  • Experience working in a warehousing/manufacturing / FMCG environment

  • Time spent working in a time-pressured environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills
