Internal Communications Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Manager to join our team. 

 

This role is offered on a permanent basis and will be a hybrid role based in the UK, offering a combination of being able to work from home and working at our Corby office or London Kings Cross office 1-2 days per week 

 

Working closely with the Communications Director, and as a member of the Group Communications team, you’ll spend your time delivering innovative communications for global audiences by developing content aligned to our strategic priorities and ambitions. 

 

You’re a natural storyteller, able to explain things simply, and will help foster an environment that celebrates diversity, innovation, and success by showcasing stories from across the global business and building connected communities.  

 

 

About the role 

 

  • Own, develop and deliver plans for a variety of internal communications – including announcements, briefings, reports, campaigns, videos and events. 

  • Proactively develop and draft creative and engaging content for a range of purposes including intranet, social content, interviews, features, podcasts, panel sessions. 

  • Build a broad network of communications expertise globally – proactively looking internally and externally for insight and ideas to develop our content and channels.  

  • Help us consistently share our story, unite our teams, play an active part supporting functional leadership teams to improve their communications.   

  • Act as a communications consultant, providing counsel, advice, and examples of best practice to support leaders in owning and delivering their local communications, with a strategic and group-wide focus. 

  • Set - and facilitate others to set - clear communication outcomes that align with our strategic plan. Challenge stakeholders to ensure they remain focused on outcomes and to think wider than their specific area of focus. 

 

 

What we’re looking for  

 

  • Experience in a global or regional role delivering communications plans aligned to business objectives  

  • Strong writer with the ability to connect content to strategy and help our people understand the critical role they play in contributing to our success  

  • Proven capability in a delivery-focused communications role 

  • Resilient in an environment of change and competing business priorities  

  • Stakeholder management skills across a matrix organisation  

  • Creativity and fresh thinking to continually improve the employee experience 

  • Understanding of diverse, international employee audiences and the levers/channels to reach connect and engage them 

  • Content and channel expertise including O365 Sharepoint, Yammer and Teams  

  • Experience in publishing online content
