Head of Internal Communications

Location: This role is offered on a permanent basis and will be a hybrid role, offering a combination of being able to work remotely and working at our London Kings Cross office or Corby office 1-2 days per week.

This role will see you taking the lead on employee communications that inspire our people. We are looking for a Head of Internal Communications who is passionate about people, purpose and strategy and understands the impact of engagement on organisational culture. You will be creative and agile, able to work independently and lead virtual teams as well as adapt quickly and effectively to change within a matrix model organisation.

 

About the role

  • Design, orchestrate, and ensure the delivery of a communications strategy that will unlock and embed our purpose, and strategy
  • Drive a centre of expertise, oversee relationships with external agencies, encourage innovation and bold approaches
  • Own, develop and deliver plans for a variety of internal communications activity including events, announcements, messaging, campaigns, change, and leadership communications
  • Act as a communications consultant, providing counsel, advice, and examples of best practice to ensure communications activity is aligned with our strategy, efficient and effective.
  • Set - and facilitate others to set - clear communication outcomes that align with our strategic plan.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Communications professional with extensive internal communications experience
  • Excellent writer with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Uses creativity and fresh thinking to continually improve communications and the employee experience
  • Understands  diverse, international employee audiences and the  levers/channels to reach connect and engage them
  • Global campaign and event strategy, planning, and execution
  • Content and channel expertise including O365 Sharepoint, Yammer and Teams
