We have an exciting opportunity for a Administration Assistant to join our Payroll team.


About the role


The primary purpose of the Administration Assistant is to provide an end-to-end excellent Fleet service to the business.  To support the Fleet provision for RS Group PLC in the UK in line with legal and statutory requirements. To work effectively with Finance, HR Service Centre, HR Reward and 3rd party Fleet to support the delivery of an engaging and effective employee benefits package. To ensure that transactional Fleet activities are carried out within the agreed KPI’s and that a consistent approach is delivered whilst maintaining operational excellence in the most efficient way.


This position is to support the BAU of the Fleet function in an end-to-end process as part of a team, this can be high pressure at times and requires attention to the detail.


This role is as a full-time permanent position, and offers Hybrid working where you can work from home and 1 day a week in the Corby office.

  • Able to process the fleet end to end
  • Oversee day to day operational pressures and constraints so as to mitigate the impact on maintaining SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers and peers
  • Ensure confidentiality in relation to all aspects of payroll activities in line with the GDPR
  • Act as a role model to embed RS The Way We Work Behaviours
  • Encourage and support fleet team engagement, staff development and appraisals
  • Promote health & safety at all times
  • Manage set payroll tasks within timelines



A bit about you


  • PC literate, with proven ability in using Excel Intermediate/Advance, Word & PowerPoint to extract, manipulate and display data in a meaningful and insightful manner
  •  Ability to understand, respect, interpret and communicate appropriate message/information confidently and effectively with good interpersonal skills – at all levels, with the utmost tact and diplomacy
  • Team Ethic, working in a team environment
  • Demonstrates highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Prioritising and manage own workload as issues arise during working day
