We are excited to be hiring for an Events Manager to be responsible for the planning and execution of our attendance at a large exhibition based in Munich. Electronica is the World's leading international trade fair for the electronics industry covering technologies, products, and solutions and will be taking place in November 2022.


As the Events Manager you will be responsible for this large-scale global event end to end, delivering a world class experience for our customers, suppliers, and our colleagues.


This is a hybrid position working from home and 1-2 days a week in our office based in Corby.


What you will do to be successful in this role


  • Day-to-day management of the event, with key accountability and decision-making requirements.
  • Responsible for the planning, delivery, and implementation of our exhibition attendance to ensure all event experiences, including key messages are disseminated effectively and timely to a range of internal and external audiences including customers and suppliers.
  • Extensive interaction with senior stakeholders across the globe, from all brands and regions.
  • Supporting the Head of Central Commercial Communications, you will focus on effectively managing and publicising our event programme.
  • Providing external communications to customers, suppliers and the media, event agency management, project management and working with the wider marketing community on display, social, email and brand advertising.
  • Responsible for task delegation to the Events Executive to support with planning and delivery.
  • Ownership of planning, execution, event campaign and channel management, translation support and working closely with all relevant members of the Global and local events and marketing teams.
  • Key decision making on various aspects of event delivery, including agency appointments and relationship management, venue selections and concepts and themes.
  • Sole responsibility and accountability to manage the measurement of this events effectiveness across the globe and provide recommendations for improvements to future event attendance.
  • Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure the event is planned, managed, and executed successfully.
  • Global travel would be required for this role.
  • Managing other events, both virtual and physical across the business.

  • Exceptional all-round events and communications skills, written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Can work well under pressure, with conflicting priorities and changing deadlines
  • Uses fresh thinking and creative ideas to turn complex information into an engaging, relevant event for our audiences
  • Knowledge of external and internal channels to best use to deliver messages
  • Knowledge of project management
