EMEA Corporate Accounts Operations Director

This is a hybrid role that can be based in any of our locations in UK and rest of Europe.

In this role you will have a direct responsibility for the Global and EMEA corporate accounts operations Managers, build and lead effectively tools and processes linked to corporate account customers, drive efficiency to accompany growth, assume indirect accountability for the consistent roll-out in the region with close collaboration with the countries. This will be done via a “top-down” approach via the management of the Global and EMEA accounts as well as supporting a “bottom-up” approach via the country teams.

 

What you will do to be successful in this role

  • Together with direct reporting team, implements the RS corporate strategy, develop strong tools and processes for corporate accounts, translate sector knowledge, design dedicated corporate account tools to support contract implementation and sustain share of wallet growth
  • Monitors major tender opportunities and activity working in close collaboration with EMEA Industry Sector Directors and EMEA corporate account managers to reflect RS as # 1 service provider
  • Supervises service improvement initiatives with the team and country teams and assume any strategic risks associated with the related Global-EMEA corporate account operations. Ensure that accounts are maintained, developed, grown and protected
  • Lead directly EMEA corporate account Operations Managers under direct responsibility, as well as indirectly country corporate account teams on a matrix basis, ensure all these personnel are fully aware of RS Components’ corporate account management strategy, are engaged and perform to established levels, manages recruitment and succession planning activities for his/her team and acts as a role model, particularly in terms of sales acumen, customer-centricity and advanced corporate tools
  • Help to reinforce RS Components’ position in the marketplace as a leading strategic partner and supplier of value adding solutions

 

 

What we’re looking for

  • A proven and successful track record in a senior corporate account role, familiar with operational processes
  • Experience of working for a company of scale and / or complexity that either provides value added services in respect to clients' indirect procurement needs, experience of working on a multi-country or pan-EMEA basis
  • Strategic and commercial approach with demonstrable knowledge of the purchasing patterns and behaviors of corporate customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a natural leader and team player who has the ability to influence across organizational and cultural boundaries
  • Able to manage people effectively in both direct and indirect / matrix environments, able to drive change
