About the role:

 

As the Commercial Excellence Manager, you will be the custodian of the EMEA commercial policy by collaborating with colleagues in the markets to lead its development and ensure consistent implementation across the EMEA region. You will ensure coordination, guidance and alignment of the Margin Optimisation Manager community, undertake periodical gap analyses with countries to assess the local consistency of application of the EMEA CP and monitor/support their ensuing development plan.

 

Ensure that the commercial teams in the region effectively use the available pricing and margin optimisation tools. Work with colleagues to provide ‘voice of the market’ feedback to the group and make sure that these tools are developed accordingly, develop appropriate reports and reporting dashboards to facilitate the steering of the Commercial Policy and support its implementation in the countries. You will closely monitor and analyse EMEA margin and profit trends (incorporating all levers driving net margin e.g. cost of goods, discounting, inventory, channel) in order to provide advice to the leadership team and challenge when necessary and transform performance data into insight to inform EMEA sales, marketing and product strategies.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Ensure that the EMEA Commercial Policy document is updated twice per year and communicate all changes correctly to the markets.
  • Support the countries to build, deliver and maintain CP’s unique to their market.
  • Undertake periodical Gap Analyses with countries
  • Establish and maintain Commercial Excellence portal to share essential commercial information with the EMEA Sales & Service community.
  • Impact of role may be seen in the optimisation of sales & margin revenues
  • Prepare and deliver training modules to support the implementation and application of CP

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Experience operating successfully with colleagues in other markets in an international business environment is highly preferable.
  • Will have led a project requiring fundamental change across different departments.
  • Experience in a strong analytical/project management environment is key.
  • Successfully operated in a key Sales and/or Marketing role within a high-performance commercial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills that enable you to effectively interact with associates at all levels of the company.
  • You are comfortable with leading change in an international environment within a fixed period of time.
  • Must be proven to be a strong organiser who is accurate and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels
  • Broad knowledge of pricing, cross functional applications and systems interfaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a relentless drive for success and innovation
