Value Added Services Manager, Scandinavia

About the opportunity
The RS Scandinavia organization has currently 80+ employees placed mainly in Denmark, but also employees in Sweden and Norway. The office in Denmark is placed in Copenhagen, where our Marketing, Sales, Technical team, Customer Service Teams, Finance and supporting roles are present.
In this role you will ensure a consistent approach to the service and solution design, make sure delivery and implementation of Value Added Services and Technical Support is embedded in the market in line with the Rest of EMEA strategy. You will work collaboratively with the EMEA Value Added Services (VAS) team, local market Leadership team, Sales and Marketing to ensure the successful and profitable growth of VAS in the market. You will also be part of the local Leadership team and leading a team of 8 people.
What you will do

- Deliver the overarching VAS strategy for the Scandinavian market working and collaborating effectively with the Head of VAS Rest of EMEA and local VAS to ensure that there is a consistent, scalable and profitable approach to all VAS incl. the technical team
- Drive and share continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that RS operates efficiently and delivers a strong customer experience
- Deliver an efficient service delivery model from service design and proposal through to implementation and acceptance into service for customers including eProcurement, Purchasing Manager, VMI solutions, calibration, lab services and new services as they are launched
- Ensure the technical teams are continuously enhancing their technical capabilities (in collaboration with our suppliers)
- Support the sales team in the effective qualification, service design & implementation of VAS in the market
- Be a recognised subject matter expert and go to person for value added services
A bit about you
- Experience of developing and implementing scalable, profitable services and associated business models
- Experience of working with and managing a specialist team dealing with development and delivery of complex service offerings
- Ability to understand and work with sales teams to drive growth through value-based selling
- Experience of improving customer experience and customer journeys
- Effective coach and collaborator, influencing others in direct teams to take personal ownership and responsibility
- Excellent English and either Danish, Norwegian or Swedish language skills
- Experience of working in a B2B environment such as industry, industrial distribution, logistics or business services sector would be desirable
